AVG no longer compatable with exede (bandwidth hog)

AVG is no longer compatible with satellite internet. It can consume 1 g of data a day if you allow it.

If you have avg installed or had it installed you need to download AVG remover from the AVG website and run it to remove all traces of the program.  Be sure to remove it from all your computers now!

Ever since AVG Zen came out you can no longer turn off auto downloads. The settings in the config are just ignored. Worse yet the updates it now downloads are huge unlike the old small sig updates of the past. Basically it downloads all the sigs everyday even. And the main program keeps updating every few days.

It also looks like AVG Zen is using bandwidth making cloud connections to track al your computers.

On the first version of Zen it was optional now you are forced to install it.

This type of software is just not compatible with anyone who has bandwidth caps so you need to uninstall it.

Comodo makes a fine free virus scanner and a free firewall you should install both they both use small sig updates .

If you are having bandwidth problems and use AVG then this is why

Download dapzilla to track your bandwidth and usage.
